Assignment: Imagine yourself an employee of the Federal Writer's Project during the Great Depression.  Your job is to find ex-slaves still alive and tell their tales. Compile accounts from five individuals and then weave their stories together. After putting your imformation together for the FWP, you find yourself sitting down with your grandchildren later on in life. They ask you, "Did slavery in America really exist?" You think about it a moment and then begin to tell your tale... Write your story (to your grandchild) based on the five accounts compiled from your research. 

Evaluation: You will gain 70 points for a detailed story that includes information from five ex-slave accounts and you will be assigned 30 points for a detailed comment or question to another student's post.  Do not limit your comments to congratulations.  Ask questions, point out different perspectives, demonstrate where more research can be found, etc. concerning another student's post.

Format: All posts must be in Verdanna, single spaced, 10 point font.  (Like this post.)
