6. Young Parent: As much as I would like to say my spouse and I are the final arbitrators in all things my sons life, I have to admit our environment serves just as significant of a role in determining his cultural identity. Now Ill do as much as humanly possible to guarantee that the cultural traditions bestowed upon me by my progenitors will leave its mark on him. I think thats all I can do; try my best to show him a part of his history, and have faith that he will fulfill all that we have in mind for him.

2. Young Hispanic Girl: Dear Maria, it would be great to have you attend my Quinceanera. As you know it is my transition from childhood to womanhood and it is a very important day for me, and many other Hispanics. Please join us.
